Quiet Spaces

The first and last hours of the day are generally quietest. The Library is a quiet space if you want to chill out.

The Opening hours can be found on the website & they welcome you getting in touch to see if any large groups are visiting on any particular day.

SEND Family Backpacks are available to pick up from:


  •  The Visitor Information Centre (Ground Floor).
  • The Atrium and the Explorers & Collectors gallery (First floor)

 

Inside each backpack there are fidget toys, sensory aids and things to help plan your visit.

 What's On at The Beaney, Canterbury 

Created by BAFTA award-winning Peter Firmin and Oliver Postgate through their company Smallfilms, Bagpuss was filmed in Firmin’s barn in Blean, just outside Canterbury. The original Bagpuss resides at The Beaney Museum.
